Big news – we’re opening doors at our Pop-Up location on July 1st!


Hey HUB Oakland fam!

There is so much happening behind the scenes as we count down to opening our Pop-Up location – on July 1st! Our new furniture will show up on June 24, and then we’ll have a few days to sharpen the pencils, polish the whiteboards, and test drive the new coffee pots. It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for!We welcome you to join us as we toast this milestone with a coffee break at 10 am sharp on July 1st. We’ll do a little meet and greet, serve up some treats and then…get to work!

Popuphood Presents Fashion Friday on the Plaza

Frank Ogawa Plaza, downtown Oakland

A slew of mobile fashion trucks and local wine folks will converge on Frank Ogawa Plaza for a fun and FREE happy hour shopping event.  8 trucks, one night, all style.

This Plaza event is just one stop on the West Coast Mobile Retail Road Trip. Just in case you don’t believe that it is the next big thing read this article in Entrepreneur magazine.

Popuphood is throwing Fashion Friday as part of their ongoing effort to bring vibrant events to the heart of Oakland’s civic life. Their incubation program helps businesses go from pop-up to permanent and mobile retail trucks often roll towards a brick-and-mortar shop.

The City of Oakland is pleased to be involved with this event as a part of their efforts to re-engage people with The Plaza and support the Vacant to Vibrant program.
