RayCoach is pleased to partner with Hub Oakland to launch a new series of Power Hours!

The RayCoach Power Hour is a 90-minute Saturday gathering at the Hub Oakland. At a Power Hour, like-minded entrepreneurs, artists and other creative professionals gather to state their goal and then take one hour to Get It Done.

At a Power Hour, there are no excuses – just the support from like-minded peers. All you have to do is show up with a project to work on during the Power Hour, and commit to Get It Done!

Executive coach and trainer Ray Pifferrer will be available for free Laser Coaching during the Power Hour.

 

About Your Coach

Ray Pifferrer is a member of the International Coach Federation,   and trained as a Leadership Coach (Linkage, Inc.) and a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (Coaches Training Institute). Ray has developed and presented leadership and skills development efforts around the world, to global and U.S. teams. His clients come from a variety of nations, professional levels and life circumstances. As an executive coach and training consultant, Ray:

  • uses humor and creativity to help you clarify your goals and make the “impossible” happen
  • walks with you as a supportive partner while you learn and change
  • translates performance gaps into goals with actionable steps
  • helps bridge the gap between goals and performance results

Ray brings 25 years of experience in designing, facilitating and managing individual/ organizational performance improvement efforts. He’s a seasoned training program manager, expert group facilitator and platform presenter. He’s worked with global corporations (e.g., Microsoft, Hewlett Packard, Genentech, Coca-Cola), national/regional firms (e.g. Kaiser Permanente, Pacific Gas & Electric), and a wide variety of philanthropic/nonprofit organizations. He has been many places and done many things, including stand-up comedy! Ray splits his working time between the San Francisco/Oakland, California, New York, and the European Union, thanks to dual citizenship and the ability to make wherever he is feel like home. Interested in exploring a collaborative, design-based approach to sustainability? Join us for the 2013 Oakland Sustainability Jam, the local edition of the Global Sustainability Jam, being held around the world the weekend of Nov. 22-24, 2013.

 

All are welcome – not only designers, but also planners & sustainability experts; artists & makers; scientists & hackers; activists & entrepreneurs; as well as just plain passionate, interested folks! You’ll form diverse teams and work together through the weekend to observe and learn, generate ideas, and prototype products, services, devices, systems, and more, all around the theme of sustainability.

 

The weekend will also include inspiring panel discussions and mini-workshops with leading thinkers in design and sustainability; mentorship and support from facilitators and experts in the field; connections with GSusJammers from around the world; and plenty of good food, great people, hard work, and most importantly, fun!

Looking to raise money for your business, creative project or social enterprise?  Crowdfunding (aka using the internet to fund a project through small contributions) has forever changed the way creators and entrepreneurs can raise money for their endeavors.  Using a combination of engaging presentations, audience participation and hands-on exercises, this workshop will demystify the evolving landscape of crowdfunding in the wake of the 2012 JOBS Act, reveal the costs and advantages of portals like Kickstarter and IndieGoGo, and share a toolkit of proven strategies for implementing a successful campaign.  Don’t get rowdy, get crowdy!

Songs for All Beings: A Musical Celebration for Lovingkindness

Jennifer Berezan and Edge of Wonder present the premiere performance of Song for All Beings, A Celebration of Lovingkindness. This musical meditation features an extraordinary gathering of musicians, dancers, activists, visual artists and spiritual teachers from around the world to create a communal ritual based in the Buddhist practices of metta (lovingkindness) and compassion. Based on the acclaimed recording In These Arms, A Song for All Beings, this unique event builds on Jennifer’s past visionary and ritual musical offerings, especially the beloved performances of Praises for the World.
Song for all Beings is a participatory musical journey to evoke peace, healing and unity for the earth and all beings.
